The plastic is collected, cleaned and then shredded into small pieces, which are then turned into fibers and eventually spun into yarn. The process of making yarn from RPET begins by collecting plastic bottles. These bottles are washed and stripped of labels and caps. They are then shredded into small pieces, which are melted and made into fibers. These fibers are then spun into threads that can be used to knit the socks. Using advanced knitting machines with 156 needles, the RPET yarn is meticulously processed into socks with precision. Every aspect is carefully considered, from the refined finish of the cuffs to the seamless construction that provides the ultimate in comfort. The manufacturing process of our RPET socks includes a distinctive personalization option. After approval on the design, the factory starts making a sample. Once the customer is satisfied, we start up the machines and production can begin. After the knitting process is complete, a thorough quality control follows to ensure that each RPET sock meets our strict standards. Next, the socks undergo careful ironing and are carefully packaged, sometimes in custom packaging that gives the socks an extra touch of exclusivity. Finally, the finished RPET socks are carefully shipped to our customers.

Even the packaging can be customized, such as a custom header card, sleeve, box or other packaging that seamlessly matches the giving moment. For our RPET socks, we use an estimated production time of about 4-5 weeks after the sample is approved. This time estimate is mainly influenced by sourcing high quality RPET yarn. Every week we deploy reliable transportation from our factory to the Netherlands, to ensure that the products arrive to us on time and in excellent condition.
The sustainability aspect of RPET socks lies in the fact that they help reduce the demand for new raw materials, such as crude oil used to produce traditional synthetic yarns. Instead, used plastic bottles are collected, cleaned and processed into recycled polyester fiber, which is then used to spin the yarn for RPET socks. There are several benefits to using RPET yarn. First, it helps reduce the demand for new plastic materials and helps reduce plastic pollution in the environment. Second, the production process typically requires less energy and water compared to the process for virgin raw materials. This contributes to a lower carbon footprint. The yarn is GRS certified and the factory where the socks are produced is Sedex 4.0 certified.
